Our David table is a unique example of form and function. The geometric base opens up to support leaves doubling the tables size. This unique function modifies the initial design element creating all new lines once the leaves are fully extended. This table is versatile, moving from a lineal compact presence to an elongatedpier. The streamlined topography of this table is symbolic of Mid-Century Modern Cubism.Commissioned by Dallas designer David Cadwallader, it was intended for adjustable banquet style seating arrangements in a large modern home. This table is made from antique Brazilian rosewood veneer with walnut trim. As in most of our pieces, the veneer has a distinctive story. It was brought into the country in the early 1960's and had been in the private collection of a rare veneer dealer until purchased by Keith.
